Thursday, October 22, 2015 marked the "TOPPING OUT" of the McAllen Performing Arts Center.  General Contractors, SPAW GLASS, hosted the celebration and attendees watched as the building was topped off "VALLEY STYLE" with a palm tree.

The Performing Arts Center is due to open at the end of the summer 2016.

The staff at the Convention Center is to be commended for their masterful recreation of the "old" auditorium seating plan in the Exhibit Hall of the Convention Center.  As one patron said, "It's just like home!"

Our last concert for the 2015-2016 season was Kevin Johnson, ventriloquist.  He provided a delightful evening of fun, laughter, and audience participation!  Show below are 2 of our volunteers from the audience, Cora & Alice Resczenski!

UPDATE JULY 13, 2015:

These 3 pictures were taken at the end of June, 2016:

The stucco work is almost finished on the sides.

Facing the Southwest, you can see the windows are going in and the drive through portico being worked on.

This picture at the right was taken of the front entrance - preparations are being made to pour the concrete driveways and additional parking areas.

We are looking forward to the completion of the McAllen Performing Arts Center - October 2016!
